Experiencing seasons in our lives is common to us all, but every one is different and unique. Moments that become memories: significant points in our lives which we share with others.
Life events are changes that can have a great influence on the course our lives take. As we experience such times of transition and change, the local church can provide a haven and a safe place, somewhere to celebrate as well as to console one another. St Lawrence Church can be such a place for the local community.
Weddings
Marrying in church is personal, meaningful, spiritual and beautiful, just as you want it to be.
At St Lawrence’s we offer the traditional setting of a Church of England church, providing a unique and memorable venue for your special day. You are welcome to marry here in church whatever your beliefs, whether or not you are baptised and whether or not you go to church.
Baptism
Everyone is welcome to be baptised, or to have their children baptised (sometimes called a christening), here at St Lawrence Church. Whether you worship at church with us regularly, haven’t been for a while, or this would be your first time, we love to welcome families and friends as they gather here for baptism services.
Funerals
A funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief, and to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world.We’ll always be here to help you through one of life’s most difficult times.
